Shared costs, settled.
Track what you share with your partner, roommates or travel group. See who owes whom, stay on budget, and settle up every month. No account, no server, nothing for anyone else to read.
Free. No ads. Works on phones and tablets.
Three steps, and nobody chases anybody.
Start a group
Pick Household, Roommates or Trip, then invite people with a QR code or a link. Households can split by income: tell it your incomes once and it remembers the percentages.
Add what you spend
Type the amount and the store, or scan the receipt. The category and the split fill themselves in. It takes about three taps.
Settle up
The app works out the fewest payments to square everyone up. Pay however you already do, mark it paid, and the month is closed.
The spreadsheet, without the spreadsheet.
Everything a household budget spreadsheet does, sized for a phone and shared with the person you live with.
Split by income58 / 42, or whatever's fair for you. Change it when life changes; past expenses stay as they were.
Categories everywhereGroceries, kids, utilities and more, suggested from the store you shopped at.
Bills and a joint accountMortgage and utilities paid from the joint account count toward the budget without changing who owes whom.
A statement every monthWhat was shared, who paid, each person's share, and whether it's settled.

- No account. Open the app and start. No email, no phone number, no password to leak.
- Encrypted on your devices. Your group's history is stored on each member's phone and scrambled before it leaves.
- No server of ours. Updates travel through free public relays that only ever see encrypted data.
- Works offline. Add expenses on a plane; they sync when you land.

Good questions.
Does Today's Split move money?
No. It keeps track of who owes whom and records payments once they're made. Pay each other however you already do: bank transfer, Interac e-Transfer, cash.
If there's no server, how do our phones stay in sync?
Each change is encrypted on your phone and passed through free public relays, a bit like envelopes through a post office that can't open them. Every member's device keeps the full history, so nothing depends on one phone or one company.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Link your phone and tablet so either has everything, and save a password-protected backup file wherever you like. Your other group members' devices also keep the whole history.
Can I bring my spreadsheet?
Yes. Export it as a CSV, match the columns once, and your past months come in as normal expenses with their categories.
What does it cost?
The beta is free. Because there's no server to pay for, the core app will stay free without ads.
Is this from the makers of Today's Lift?
Yes. Today's Split comes from the same developer as Today's Lift, the workout tracker. Same idea: log it today, see where you stand over time.
